About Peg

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
― Howard Thurman

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Peg Timm, a lyrical abstract expressionist creating in beautiful Summerville, SC. As a wife and homeschool mama, I feel so blessed to have the lowcountry as the canvas of our lives together.

I come from a family of creatives and feel so blessed to be carrying on this legacy with my own family.

In 2021, I decided to finally take the leap and pursue training at the Milan Art Institute. I quickly fell in love with the power of the elements of art to express the depths of my heart and experiences.

My Work

My work is deeply inspired by the beauty found in nature, family, and faith. I seek to create art that is a direct reflection of my personal life and journey, celebrating themes of truth, beauty, and freedom that are found as we come home to love.

Each painting is an invitation into the abundance that can be found in the present moment, the peace that unfolds as we slow down, and the gratitude that manifests in the adventure of life’s simple pleasures.

My process is poetic and intuitive; each line, brushstroke, and color creating a record of the flow of life and love. I’m in awe of the power of art to connect heart to heart and create atmospheres saturated with depth, joy, and hope.

When I’m not painting…

My family is everything to me. I love being home with my kids and sharing daily life together. We have been homeschooling from the beginning and have really enjoyed the freedom and flexibility that it has given us to deeply pursue our creative interests together.

We love adventuring to our favorite nature spots and getting lost in the beauty found here in the lowcountry. I love walking, pilates, cello, nature photography, poetry, deep conversations, sitting under my oak and spending time with my dog, Cooper.

We are part of New Day Community Church and feel truly blessed to be part of such a vibrant, growing community.

The beauty of new beginnings is taking that first step into the unknown.

Showing up with confidence in the present moment, and hope for those to come.

Today is all we have to make our mark. It doesn’t need to be grand or impressive, but simply authentic and present.

Every beautiful thing begins with

one small step,

one small intention,

one small letting go.

Many days are simply showing up to build on days before, but today I’m starting something new. I’m laying a foundation for what is to come, not knowing how it will end. I release control and step into the adventure with You.
