Love meets me here in the waiting, the disappointment, the hope deferred. Grasping yet again for something solid, something real to grab onto. It’s here you find me or rather I find you as you have been here all along patiently waiting for me. Love is patient. You desire to wrap this broken place but I must slow down and be still for a while. It is here you invite me, hovering, calling, longing to surround and fill me with the substance of love more real than anything I have ever known.
In the chrysalis of my reformation I let go and yield to the mystery of what will be. In the darkness of this enclosed space I lack wisdom and clarity, nothing makes sense anymore. I ask and you freely give your wisdom to me. Everything I knew is being stripped away as I yield to joy that’s transforming me. Love is patient. I let this patience have its full effect, knowing on the other end, beauty, wholeness and fullness will emerge. Stretching my wings with wonder for adventures I never knew were possible. My undoing is my becoming. Surrounded by comfort, my joyful surrender is the pathway to freedom.
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” James 1:2-5
